About SunTran

SunTran provides fixed-route bus service in Marion County. The services are mostly centered in Ocala, with one route operating from Ocala to the Silver Springs Shores area.

Since its inception in 1998, the Ocala/Marion County Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) has functioned as the governing board of SunTran. Today, SunTran operates a scheduled, fixed-route system consisting of eight routes, running six days per week. Most routes operate at every hour from 5 AM to 10 PM.
